Affinity is like killing a flea with a cannon

For you must know certain people
Inexorably, fatefully
The delicacy of a bullet
Inscribes your vision of life
Because certain people are alive to you
And the rest are dead, as if you had killed them.

Who told you about the unknown source?
Like fleas in a cloud chamber
We zoom and tremble inside the gravitational pull

Why luminance within a sky-wave, for one
And sensual earth-love, for another?
Affinity
Like the sequence of past-lives
Like the generous in their choice of charity
All are drawn to their call
Knowing and not knowing
By outer sight
By inner feeling
By conception and cognition
Such are the hierarchies
And jurisdictions
Of Affinity
And Infinity.
