Michael José Morales Arriola was born in 1978  in Lima, Perú.  In 1987, in a fatal accident, he lost both his parents.  Subsequently, he was taken to live with his mother’s sister and her family.    At the age of 16, he began school at the Seminary of the Salesians  where he stayed for four and a half years, trying to help the needy and to avoid the growing awareness of his homosexuality.  However, he eventually left the Seminary, knowing that he is gay and that God accepts and loves him as he is, despite conflicts with the Catholic Church.

He graduated as a teacher from Secondary School, having majored in Philosophy and is currently teaching adolescents in a public school.  He is pursuing a Masters in Educational Psychology and is in his final year.  He hopes to become a doctor of Psychology, and to teach at the University level.

Michael started writing poetry at the age of 13.  His poetry incorporates many themes from his early life, including the sadness of losing his parents, the internal conflict of religion and homosexuality, and issues of abandonment and solitude.   Michael welcomes your feedback and suggestions and can be reached at the following email addresses:  mjma1978@hotmail.com  and  principemichael25@yahoo.com .
