Lekshmy Rajeev's poems have been published in many reputed literary magazines and journals. Her poems are featured at the website www.shakespeares-sonnets.com edited by Gerard Ledger. Lekshmy also writes features and book reviews for several national newspapers. She wrote a monthly column on living Indian poets titled 'Pebbles' for Deccan Herald newspaper's Sunday Magazine for two years.

She has translated The Narayaneeyam. (Narayaneeyam is a devotional Sanskrit work, in the form of a poetical hymn, consisting of 1034 slokas. It was written by Melputhoor Narayana Bhattatiri in 1586 and gives a summary of 14,000 verses of the Bhagavata Purana). She is currently working on a collaborative blog that aims to explain the meaning of ancient Indian spiritual texts:
