Alexis N. Carra is an honor student in her second year at Westlake High School in Thornwood, New York. In only a year of high school, Alexis has had her works published in various articles, newspapers, and anthologies. Some of which include The Westlake Word, From the Heart, and Poetry Live! A Collection of Student Poetry To Celebrate National Poets Laureate. Additionally, she has participated in an intergenerational anthology Weaving Stories Together and literacy program What I Whisper To My Journal. Alexis also received the Susan J. Goldberg Memorial Award for her literature in June 2007. Alexis enjoys various types of writing but especially loves to express herself in philosophical poetry.
