Dan McManus was born in Bremerton, Washington, spent his childhood and early teen years in Boston, and has lived in Southern California since.  His interest in poetry evolved from his deep love of music and his fascination with the powerful lyrics that often accompany the works of great songwriters.  He began writing on his own during the 1970s and continues writing to this day.  Living with his wife and son, Dan's work focuses on life, love, and fleeting glimpses of the divine entwined within both.
