All of the works of these children were products of a series of workshops in Niger State of Nigeria at the end of which is a large pool of poems generated there-from.

The Annual Schools Carnival of Arts and Festival of Songs (ASCAFS), which comprises of nine categories in different artistic forms is broad platform upon which school kids have shown their talents over the years. Therefore, we had to design a new ground for carrying further, the art of creative writing by introducing the TEEN AUTHORSHIP SCHEME.

However, schools like Hill-Top Model School, G.S.S Minna, Govt. Girls Sec. School Old Airport, have art centres that dedicate time and efforts in grooming selected students in writing. Such efforts have largely been through writers in Minna and school principals like Malam Dan'Azumi Musa of Hill-Top, Rev Father J D O'connel of GSS and Mrs Uwani of Old Airport. Mrs H Abdul of Himma international College and Mrs Cecelia Oboh of F.U.T Staff School remains the ahead of others among the private school. Indeed, the last teen authors prizes of the Association of Nigerian Authors received more entries from Niger State, In fact, the prizes were won by them.
