Wanda D. Campbell grew up in the Appalachian foothills, less than ten miles from the home of Mark Twain's mother and in the shadow of the great Appalachian writer, Janice Holt Giles. Her influences have come from many sources, most notably Appalachian culture and her own Melungeon and Mexican-American heritage. Wanda is a novelist, poet and artist who still lives in her beloved Upper Cumberland where she teaches elementary school. Wanda received her education at Lindsey Wilson College and Campbellsville University. She is currently working on her graduate degree from Western Kentucky University. Wanda's poetry has appeared in numerous magazines, journals and anthologies, both online and traditional. She is a member of the Kentucky State Poetry Society
