Originally from the UK, Jerry Beale has bummed his way through various careers, from farmer to concrete labourer to soldier to advertising agency principal, with varied results. About the only thing that travelled with him throughout the journey has been his habit of recording the many experiences that each provided as poetry. He's had both poems and short stories published in a variety of magazines, as well as a short collection of poetry entitled ÔSongs from the Far Cry'. He reads regularly at both live venues and festivals, with a particular interest in the mythopoetic stories of men.

Jerry now lives with his family in Auckland, New Zealand. In between being a husband, father, ad agency creative director, mixed martial arts instructor and outrigger paddler, he still writes, publishes and reads aloud. He has plans to do nothing but write and walk his dogs one day.
