Gretti Izak was born in Bulgaria. A graduate of London University, already as a child she adopted English as her language to write stories. She has worked as painter, teacher, editor and head of a multilingual translation program. She has published two collections of her own poetry, has won prizes for her poems and is reviewed as being a poet of rare sensitivity, who manages to anchor profound contemplations in everyday observations. Currently she is working on two more manuscripts of her poetry. Gretti Izak lives in Jerusalem.
