Alice Lenkiewicz is a poet and an artist. She spends much of her time writing, painting and organising poetry readings which have supported many guest poets from near and far in the city of Liverpool. She has lectured part time at Edge Hill College and John Moores University. She set up Neon Highway Poetry/Art Magazine in 2002 while studying for her MA in Writing Studies at Edge Hill College. The publication is issued once a year and publishes experimental prose, poetry and art on a commission basis. Lenkiewicz lives with her two daughters in Liverpool where she loves to go walking and exploring. She has a fondness for surrealism in film, painting and writing: her favourite painters are Howard Hodgkin, Van Gogh and Marc Chagall; her favourite writers are Albert Camus, Isabelle Allende, Kate Millet and Toni Morrison. Her works have been published in magazines such as
Fire, Marymark Press, Smoke, Stride, and Pages. Lenkiewicz's first
novella, containing prose and poetry, entitled Maxine, can
be purchased from Bluechrome
Publishing. It is also available from Amazon, Waterstones and
Blackwells online. A review with further details on how to purchase
