Starry Night

Lamenting the fact that this night's
Sky of stars will not be shared with you,
I feign anger, dismissiveness.
But my truculunt pose
And my will to be melancholy
Do nothing to eradicate the hope
That at another moment,
You, with your mouth sealed upon mine,
Will embrace, with your eyes, the
Sensual and seductive stillness
Of a night sky
Bursting with tiny, complex
Glowing suns.
