Zdravka Vladova-Momcheva was born in Veliko Tarnovo , Bulgaria , on 3rd of October 1967. She finished higher education at University of Sofia " St. Kliment Ohridsky in 1993.

She published her first poetry book "Transformations in 1999 (Bulgarian language). Her second book "A child, a woman and a prophet" was published in 2000, followed by the bilingual "These Simple Things," which was part of the cultural initiative "Bulgarian Easter," organised by the Bulgarian government.

Her first novel "The Road" was published in 2002 and was represented to the Bulgarian readers in UK at the Bulgarian Embassy in London .

Since year 2000 she has lived in the UK .


These poems are an experiment and a real challenge for me. It is confirmation of the idea that poetry has different spiritual territories according to the traditions of the language it has been written.

English texts are the originals. Bulgarian translations give chance to the readers to feel and understand all these philosophical profundity of English language – not so expressive but mental and exact.

"Double mirror – is the idea of the composition. Ongoings reflect in poems and they re-create all the beauty of usual, unnoticeable details in human’s daily round – old house, the nature of friends, caprices of love…

In fact – these simple things…
